Share your thoughts about today’s Stone Fox book talk. Use the following questions as a guide:
What was your favorite question and why?
Did talking about the book change your thinking at all?
Did you have (or hear) any thoughts or ideas during the discussion that were new for you?
How did having parents there make it different?

The book ends with:
A few weeks later, one of his classmates came to school with a stalk of broccoli dangling from her neck. A perfect person might have given her a few words of helpful advice.
Not Milo. He just took a bite of his garlic-and-stinky-cheese sandwich and wiped up the mustard that dribbled down his chin. He didn’t say a word.
Why do you think Milo didn’t say anything to the girl who came in wearing the broccoli?
Remember to put thought and effort into what you are posting here. The whole world can see it!

Today is September 11, 2007. It is the sixth anniversary of a terrorist attack on our country. The terrorists were people who don’t like the United States or our way of life.
How do you feel about the United States? What makes the United States a special country? Are there reasons you’re glad you live here instead of someplace else? Write a response that shares your feelings about your country.

Discuss the “counting to ten as a group” game.
Here are some things you might want to think about as you write:
What do you like about the game? What makes it hard? What kinds of things do you think that you can do (without planning – you must stay within the rules) to make it possible for the class to get to ten?
Remember: Nobody wins unless everybody wins.
