A NEW New World
WHAT IF…Christopher Columbus had not sailed to the Americas and “discovered” the new world? How would the world be different today? Be creative and develop your ideas.

If Christopher Columbes did not discofer America we would not be living here. If one of your parents was born in Italy and the other in America Then they wold have never met.
If he didnt travle to the other side of america the world would be diferent. It would be diferent because we would thik the world wouldthink the world was flat and we would walk off the eage of the world. another reason is that woudnt discover all of the other oceans that surouned us.
If Christopher Columbus had not sailed to the Americas then my great grandmother, Michela, would not have come to North America and my great grandfather would not have come to America, too. They would not have met and gotten married. Which means that my great grandmother would not have had my Nana, Ann, who would have had my mother, Marianne, who would have had me. I would never have been born unless my great grandmother had met my great grandfather in Italy who would have my Nana,and my Nana had met her husband, Anthony, who would have my mom, who would have to go to Ireland to meet my dad who’s dad would would have to have come to Ireland to meet my other Nana. My mom would have my brother’s Kevin and Patrick and my sister Katie and me in Ireland. I would have grown up in Ireland speaking Gaelic! I probably would never have met my Nana and grandfather who would have lived in Italy. I would also would have learned to speak Italian, too. Most of you will probably will think this is crazy but it is true. If you are Russian you would have been born in Russia. If you are Spanish you would have been born in Spain. And so on and so on.
I think it would not be a very good place because we would not have everything that we have know and I think nobody would be living here.also I think nobody would even find this place if it was not for Christopher Columbus.I also think that nobody would find this area if Cristopher Columbus had not sailed to discover america.I also think that a lot of people would not live hear or nobody would live hear at all or it would not even be found so we are lucky.
If Christopher Columbus didn’t discover the America’s i don’t know how the world would be diffrent because we will still have food, water, shelter. Think about not so much big changes maybe there will not be as good stuff tpday but you will not die. To think of it Columbus just made the Queen and King of Spain happy. He didn’t bring us any jewels or silk. So what if you didn’t discover the new world asnd as Mr. Sklar said he didn’t even discover it. It was already there! But the main thing that i’m trying to say is that woh cares if he “discoverd” us.

The world would be different because if he did not discover America we would bstill have what we need.he mightnot have discovered the new land but who cares.He did make the world a better place.Besides he did make the King and Queen of Spain happy.He also did what they wanted him to do.

I might be a Native American insted of European American. I would also have different cultures and traditions. We would not have some foods and animals that the Europeans brought. We probably would be speaking a diferent language. We would have diferent clothing and diferent houses.
If Christopher Columbes hadn’t discover America and the new world, everything would of changed. For example, some states would of been croulded because there wouldn’t be other states that that people could live. The world would be different today because there wouldn’t be that much people speaking english or do some things you could do now. For example, there woudn’t be electricity, computers, airplanes, radios, ipods, and other things.
If Christopher Clumbus had not discover north america then we would not known about north america. Africans would not be slaves, if Chistopher Culmbus did not sail to north america the native american would try to kill us. We would also not be born here.
If Christipher Columbus hadn’t sailed, the people will still believe that the world is flat. Also, the European culture won’t spread out to the Americas.
I think the world would be very difrent because if you think of it your great great great great great great great granmother would not have chilldren if you did not live in Spain or Itally your great great great great great great grandmother wold not have children and if nowone had chilldren you would’nt be alive and if your not alive there would be no point of this anser.
If Christopher Colubus hadn’t found North America or South America my mom and dad wouldn’t have meet and I wouldn’t be alive because my parents lived in two different states in Russia, before they came to America. I wouldn’t know Lauren because my dad was friends with Lauren’s uncle and then my dad meet Lauren’s mom and became friends. Also I wouldn’t be able to speak english because I would be in a different country. I wouldn’t go to Hewlett Elementray because Hewlett Elemantray is in North America.
I think the world would be different because we might still use Indian culture because the Europeans tought us some of their culture. Also we might have different math and we might not think Christopher Columbus.We would also think there was nothing on the other side of the ocean. Our map would be very small with only Nourth America and South America.
I think the world would be very different if colombus didnt find the US. We wouldnt be alive because our great great great grandparents would have been killed!! we wouldnt live here and now people know that the world is round because because before people thought the world was flat!
If Christopher Columbus didn’t discover the new world we wouldn’t have corn (maize), commen bean, lima bean, chili pepper, sweet potato, tobaco, papaya quinoa, sunflower, manioc, squash cacao, potato, cotten, avocado, cashews, pineapple, papaya, peanut, pumpkin, tomato, bottle gourd, and squash because these things naturaly came from america and could not been given to the Europeiansif they havent discovered it.We also might not have marter luther king JR as a important person in history however we might have native americans amd we wont have tobaco!! There might be many unhappy people or depressed people because they might have not had a country to go to like america were you are free and safe [sometimes].
The world would be very different today if Christopher Columbus did not discover America. We would be living like our great grand parents did in the old days. We would live in log cabin homes with no furniture and no tv. We would eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and really no junk food. I don’t think we would have the technology like computers, video games, cell phones and ipods. It would be so hard not to have a bathroom. We would only comunicate by mail. There would not be so many jobs like we have today. And most of all we wouldn’t have our freedom. I am glad that Christopher Columbus sailed and found America. This is the best place to live in.
I think we could be native Americans with different culture .
Maybe we would have been discovered later by someone else who traveled the world and given us onother way of living and another language to speak .
