DIFFERENT CULTURAL BELIEFS ABOUT LAND OWNERSHIP
According to the video we watched today, Native Americans believed that nobody could own the land. It was there for everybody to share. Europeans settlers believed that people could claim, buy, and sell land.
Which cultural belief about land ownership do you prefer? Why do you feel that way?

I think the Native Americans chose the rite thing because you should share land. You shold not say ” I choose this land now it is mine.” But if the Uropeins chose it to be that way you can’t argue about it.
I believe in the Native Americans. I believe in them because everyone should share things so, everyone gets a chace to do things.One thing we can share that is important to me is friendship.Why because if we don’t we might get into strees.And if we do we might not get to do things because we might get mad about things.I also believe a little in the Europeans because you can’t share everthing inyour life.One thing that you can’t share is like your password on the computer.Why becauseif you do people might do things that are silly.
I prefer the Native Americans cultural belief of nobody owns the land. I feel that way because you can move when ever you want and you don’t have to worry about somebody saying your on their land. I don’t like the way the Europeans worked because if you wanted to move you would have to find a place that nobody owns. You would have to buy the land from that person. But the Native Americans can move when ever they want to and when ever they need to. They would not have to pay someone for the land. That’s why I think the Native Americans custom is better. That’s also why I think the Europeans way is not a good way. Other people might think the Europeans way is the right way and the Native Americans way is a bad way. But I think that the Native Americans way is best . That is what I think.
I think people should share land but each person should have their own section of the land. I think this because we all get a fair share and if we didn’t have fair shares we would get into fights and people would get hurt. Good try Lesly.
I would prefer the Native American. I would prefer the Native Americans because they are not selfish like the Europeans.I also prefer Native Americans because they actually share and care unlike the Europeans.
I would prefer the Native Americans because they are not selfish,they share the land,they do what is right, and they care unlike the selfish mean Europeans that do mean things, don’t really care and they say like “This is my land and this is your land.You can not come on my land unless I say so.”I agree with Jackie because the Europeans are a kinda’ good because you can’t share everything thing in your life. But, you CAN share most things.
I would prefer the way the Native Americans did it with the land. Because I think that the world is all for us to have I would prefer this way 1. Because you dont have to pay for land!!! 2. Because its not like someone comes and decides that this is their land! that is not fair what if we run out of space and 60 families or so dont have space!!
I would prefer the Native America way of ownership. I think that it is good to share land instead of not sharing the land, because the Europeans can own all the land and the Native Americans wouldn’t have any. I would not prefer the Europeans way, because the Native Americans might not have a place to live.
I prefer the Native Americans because they aren’t sellfish like the Europeans. The Europeans where sellfish because they would say this is my land and you can’t touch it unless I say to, but the Native Americans didn’t care because they shared the land. They didn’t believe like the Europeans did. This is why I prefer the Native Americans.
I think the native americans because you should share land and never say thats my land and you can’t go on myland the native americans never said that they would shre land and if they moved some where alse they wouldsay know you can have this because I will shareand give you it and if somebody wanted to come over they would say yes because they the native americans always said yes and never no.
Well lets start with Native americans. Native americans are much diffrent then Europeans. One example to prove that the Native american and the Europeans do not eagree with each other about the land. The Native americans don’t care about who has land. They could just say ” hey you can have my land.” they really don’t care, but if you look at the europeans its completely diffrent. The europeans care so much. If they want to give up there house and somebody wants to buy they say this house cost 40,000 dollars. They dont go cheap. Thats one way to prove that europeans and Native Americans have diffrent thinking about land.
I agree with Eliot because the Europeans came and said “this is my land, you can not have it at all”. But the native americans thought that we can all share the same land. So I think the native americans were right. Also the Europeans never owned the land. Native Americans used that land to live there.
I would prefer the Native Americans because they are nicer. They all share the land to each other and they also don’t fight. The Europeans have to claim the land or buy it form each other, so the poor didn’t have any houses to live in.
I like the idea of the Native Americans but its hard to do that now because you shouldn’t just build a house in sombody’s backyard. I also think that you should have a piece of paper saying that you use the land and not own the land.
I would rather live like the Native Americans because I also think that the world is our’s to share.If I looked in a book I bet I would NOT find one word that talked about someone owning the land .God did not create the world for one person he created it for evreybody to share.

I think the Native Americans were right because they “said we share this land.” The Europeons said “we claim this land from you.”
