THE COWS
Today we read a story about a boy who found a place in the real world that felt special to him, then went there “in his mind” when he felt scared or worried.
Think about a special place that you can go to in your mind when you are sad, scared, upset, or worried. Where is your place? Do you have memories or feelings that are attached to it? What makes it special for you, or makes you feel better when you think about it?
Remember to develop your thoughts. Proofread for spelling, punctuation, and capitalization.

skiing in the woods. when i was in hunter mountain i was doing my first blue terrain in the woods and it really relaxed me because of the forest theme.
My speicial place is at my Aunt’s house on her hammock because it is very relaxing and it calms me down. The constent swaying is very peaceful. One memory from here is when my cousin and I both jumped on it and a coconut fell on my head.
The place I usually go when I am feeling sad, upset, or worried is my Nana’s sisters house in up state New York. I imagine that I am walking around the long feild very slowly. I get to the house and walk room by room. I walk past the carousal and the music plays. I walk down the hallway to the adult guest room, I sit down on the big bed and get up to walk to the hammock. I lay down then get up again to go to the kid guest room. I walk past the 2 beds and past the 2 dressers and walk to the hallway. I walk to the den and sit in the swirly chair. I turn on the t.v and try to help Aunt Jane work on her puzzle. I lay down on the couch waiting for my mom to think i’m sleeping and put me to bed.
My memories are: the fly in the adult room and Aunt Jane let my swat the bug, pretending to be sleeping on the den couch, Aunt Jane showing my the carousal that plays music and spins when you walk by it, always wanting to sleep on 1 of the beds in the kids guest room, but never doing so, watching Winnie the Pooh when my 2 brothers and my sister went to go sledding, because I was sick and couldn’t go with them.
It makes me feel better because I am in my favorite place and it makes me feel comfortable to know that soon I will be going to my favorite place.
It is special for me because it is a place that I have lots of memories of.
The place where I go is toa feild so I can go where ever i want
i have 2 specail places were i feel safe. one of my speaical place is up state new york in the forest because i like to go look for salamanders and that makes me feel safe. i like to smell the fresh air in the forest. i also like to watch the fire burn while i am eating my marshmellows. and all of my friends are there except Lauren. another of my places is my dogs bed it is cozy and i feel safe. i like it because my dog is there and i like it when he jumps on me.
My place to go when I’m scared, sad,or worried is near my eyes. A memorie attached to this is when I feel scared because I feel that I’m in my own little world and I am safe in it. I feel safe in my own little world because I don’t think of anything bad only good things. What makes this special to me is that I don’t feel scared anymore. Know you know where my special place is, a memorie attached to my little world, and what makes this special to me.
When I’m scared or worried I go to Nantuket. I go there about 2 times a year.
I have alot of places I would go to if I was ever scared or upset.But my favorite place in the whole world is going to the beach in Florida,Miami.It is so relacsing there. Some times I imagen laying back on chair drinking a cool drink and waching the waves slowly crash down on to the wet yellow sand.I dream about going there agian and agian because I have had many good experienses there like eating in fansy reshtarants and staying up late.
If I was upset, mad, scared, and worried. I wauold go to my place where it is qiut my place is disney world because when I came back I felt like every time upset I would close my eyes and amagine I am there and I would come down. Then I would open my eyes and feel like nothing ever happened. also every time I go there I feel happy and I don’t think about want happened. Also every time I thik abot all the good times I had in life and all the good times I had in disney world. Also another place I have is my room because when I don’t feel well I would go to my room go under my bed and say to my self I am not sick I am a healthy girl because I now where to go insted of yelling and saying I don’t feel well I say I do feel well and I know soon my sickness will be gone and I won’t have to be in so much bane but I alway’s like to go under my bed and think the good side and not the bad side.
I mostly go to my room when im sad, scared, upset, or worried. I close my eyes. I close them because I want to feel like I can get away from everybody if im sad, scared, upset, or worried. I look at my posters all over my room. I think about what im sad, scared, upset, or worried. I try to get away from it. I calm myself by looking at myself in the mirror and ask myself questions like why im sad, scared, upset, or worried. I look at all the things around me and I make them all go away in my mind. I just think about happy moments like when I saw my mom after two months of camp. I also like to search around my room for anything that I had that is from a good time. But sometimes I just want to be a bird and just fly away to heaven and sit on a cloud and think about why im sad, scared, upset, or worried. Just like in the movie Dogs go to Heaven. I want to be like that dog and have wings and just fly away from everything. Sometimes I like to imagine my old house because that was my favorite house I have ever lived in. I remember how I used to have so much fun but then I think about where I live today and think about what would it be like if I hadn’t made all these new friends. So my room is where I go if im sad, scared, upset, or worried and just think.
When I am feeling upset, worried, or sad I go to my room. In my room I have a full size window and my bed is across it. I lay upside down on my bed and stare out the window. I have a nice view to look at. I feel relaxed when I do this and I enjoy watching the outdoors.
It sounds like you have some great safe places to think about.

I like to go to Germany whenI am scared because it remides me of my opa.
My faviorte place to go to is Gearmany it is very relaxing and it remides me of my opa.
There is a place I imagine I am when I am sad, scared, upset or worried. I imagine myself in my daddy’s arms with my family next to me and all around me. My place has special memories such as when I first held my baby sister in my small arms. And some memories that make me cry such as when my baby sister, Gisselle left me to go to Trinidad and Tobago. I end up crying any time someone in my house mentions her or her name or says something about her. I visit my special places when ever I don’t want to show my other side. Which am me as a cry baby? It’s just if I always talk to people when I am afraid they just say “why are you so afraid”. But when I come from my place am not to afraid to tell anyone that I’m afraid.
There is a places I imagine if I am scared,sad,upset, or worried. I first go to my room to get away from everyone is my house. next I Look all around my room to find somthing that reminds me of a good time I had. Sometimes I look in my picure album I see all of the great things I did and the places I went to. But sometimes I imaginemyself in my own little world. I have all of my favorite stars, and anything I can imagine
When I’m sad or upset I go to Dragon City. I go there when ever I get into fights with my older sister or she drives me crazy. I imagine that I’m in a world with all of my friends that become dragons. When I go there I turn into a dragon. It’s fun being a dragon.I can see all my old friends that moved away, one friend I never saw in pre-k like my friend Dayron. And in Dragon City the only thing I do there is play sports or video games. But after I feel I can go back to where I was before I came to Dragon City I fly to Dragon Square and tell every one bye before I go back to the real world.
When I am scared or nervous, I imagine myself in the Philippines because it reminds me of my friends, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandmothers and grandfathers. It makes me brave because I imagine that I am in my grandma and grandpa’s farm chasing the chickens and swimming with my family in their rubber pool. It also makes me strong because I imagine that my cousin Bianca and I are playing together in her back yard. That’s the place I imagine when I am afraid or nervous.
I go to elliot world. There are wizards.dragons,every video game in the world and much more. When I get board I think of something good and then what I was thinking of comes to real life. My favorite thing about elliot world is that I have every super power in the world.
I have a special place where I like to go when I am sad, scared, upset or worried. My secret hideout is in my basement. It makes me calm down because I have all the things I want in there. For example, I imagine that I have a iceskating rink in my basement and if I am mad it makes me feel like I am free because it gives me a cool breeze when I skate. Another example is that I have a pool that calms me down because it is very realxing. And the last example is a soccer field because I feel very free when I run on the field. It makes me think I am a professinal soccer player. These are some of my favorite things to do in my secret hideout shhhhhhhhhhh!.
